The #ACCESS project moves forward in five priority areas

05 June 2026

Within the framework of the #ACCESS project, we held an important partner meeting with the staff of CESCI Carpathia on 3 June. The discussion focused on concrete administrative and legal obstacles that hinder everyday life and the development of the border region. Addressing these barriers is essential for making cross-border cooperation smoother and more effective.

During the meeting, we reviewed the problems identified in the following five priority areas and defined the tasks for the coming period:

  • Market access for local products: addressing regulatory and administrative differences that make it difficult for small-scale producers to sell their products across the border.
  • Cross-border market entry for SMEs: overcoming the lack of information and administrative-technical difficulties that hinder micro and small enterprises from expanding their activities across the border.
  • Recognition of water tour guides: promoting the mutual recognition of qualifications for professionals working in water tourism, in order to support safe and legally compliant cross-border tours.
  • Archaeological qualifications: simplifying bureaucratic recognition procedures that hinder the mobility of cultural heritage professionals.
  • Protection of cross-border commuters: increasing the transparency and simplifying the administrative processes that slow down access to social and healthcare services for people working across the border.

Together with the experts of CESCI Carpathia, we agreed on the tasks for the coming weeks. Our aim is to develop practical proposal packages that can bring real improvements for people living and working in the border region.
