First AI Training in Košice to Support the Professional Work of the #ACCESS Project

05 June 2026

On the basis of cooperation between CESCI-Carpathia Košice and P.J. Šafárik University Košice, the first (online) artificial intelligence training for representatives of several NGOs in Košice took place on June 4, 2026. As part of the sustainability of the EDIH Cassovium (UPJŠ) project, the training was opened by Ing. Juraj Majcher and after him doc. Ľubomír Antoni from the Institute of Informatics of UPJŠ presented current challenges in the field of artificial intelligence, an overview and comparison and principles of selected AI tools, principles, advantages, disadvantages and risks of its use in an hour-long presentation.

The most important message of the training was that we can already delegate routine and supporting tasks such as information retrieval, example generation, text proofreading, etc. to AI. But we ourselves should keep and develop thinking, understanding and creativity. This means thinking and formulating questions, understanding principles and contexts, arguing and critically evaluating information and creating new ideas and solutions, making decisions. Artificial intelligence will not replace us there. The presentation was followed by interesting questions from the participants of the training.

To better understand the current exciting developments in AI while streamlining our work on the project #ACCESS, we are planning further training, which should cover AI communication, document processing, and AI in-depth study, and Google Gemini LLM personalization, including Google gems and assistants.
