#ACCESS – Reference group in Hidasnémeti

Another meeting took place within the framework of the #ACCESS project, this time in the cross-border functional area of ​​Košice. The agenda included two topics: the impact of the VOLVO investment on the cross-border region and the development of a new integrated transport system.

Planned program:

• Mayor’s welcome speech – Mayor Csaba Becse
• The VOLVO factory under construction in Valaliky and its cross-border labour market impacts – Peter Serfözö, Head of Regional Development and Strategic Investments, Košice District Municipality; and a representative of VOLVO Slovakia
• Cross-border integration of the new Košice regional public transport system – Radovan Hužvík, Managing Director, IDS Východ s.r.o. and Peter Reštei, Head of Transport Development Department, Košice District Municipality
• Discussion of the possibilities of a possible cross-border public transport integration and tariff system with the officials of the Hungarian Ministry of Construction and Transport – Tamás Bálint Szabó, Head of Transport Services Department, dr. Gábor Marcell, Head of Railway Infrastructure Department, Zsolt Antoni, Head of Regional and Border Development Department (Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade)
