In order to promote the gastronomic treasures of the Serbian-Croatian border region, the Pannonia Gourmet[1] project was created, and as a continuation of it, the PannEx Reload[2] project was developed. Both developments have been supported by the Croatian-Serbian IPA Interreg programme, the former in 2019-2022, the latter in 2023.

The initiative is not simply focused on selling local products, but also on exploiting their tourism potential. Attractions linked to locally produced food have been bundled into tourism packages, creating activities such as visits to local producers, farmers’ markets, gastronomic festivals, cooking shows and tasting events. In the framework of this cooperation, gastronomic centres have been set up in Rednik (Serbia) and Vinkovce (Croatia).

To create a unified image, the EatPannonia brand has been created, with a dedicated website and app. The website offers the possibility to buy local products, but also a list of local producers and restaurants using their ingredients. The partners and services are organised into tourist itineraries, making it easy to discover the gastronomic specialities of the region by theme.
