#ACCESS project concludes survey phase with second lottery draw

06 February 2024

The survey activity of the #ACCESS project targeting the legal and administrative obstacles at the Slovak-Hungarian border has ended. In order to attract as many answers as possible, the project partners launched a lottery addressing the respondents. The winners have been selected in two rounds.

Following the first lottery round in November 2023, the second drawing took place on the 31st of January, 2024 concluding the survey phase of the project. This activity of the ACCESS project proved to be highly successful as nearly 1,700 responses were received showing a real interest in the cross-border cooperation topic. The responses, collected from cross-border workers, students, cross-border shoppers, residents, and project holders of the 2007-2020 programming periods, are now set to undergo a comprehensive analysis. The findings, which promise to offer valuable insights into the challenges and opportunities of cross-border cooperation, will be reported in the following phases of the project.

Similarly to the successful format of the first round of the lottery, participants of the survey had the chance to win entrance tickets to spas and wellness centres of the border region. The second lottery drawing, held under the watchful eye of notary Norbert Dévényi in Esztergom, has brought joy to six families from the border region. The lucky winners live in various settlements, notably Košice, Rajka, Veľký Blh (in the first round) and Košice, Kisbér, Nova straž, Rajka, Veľký Kýr (in the second round), exemplifying the diverse community engagement across the border.

This round of the lottery awarded access to spas in Bábolna, Komárom, Dunajská Streda, and Szentendre.
