Slovak citizens working in Hungary cannot apply for family support.
A Slovakian citizen is entitled to Hungarian maternity benefits if she has worked in Hungary for 5 years, has a registered place of residence and has attended antenatal care in Hungary at least four times during her pregnancy. In addition, maternity benefits for children born abroad and living abroad are also granted to the biological mother of a child with a “Hungarian certificate”.
