INFOBEST is a network of four consultancy offices in the Upper Rhine region, which since the 1990s has been helping people living along the triple border to move across the border and reduce administrative burdens.

The bilingual staff at INFOBEST offices can provide information on most cross-border issues, be it social security, employment, taxation, moving, education or transport. Free advice is available not only to individuals but also to associations, companies and public authorities. In addition to providing information, the INFOBEST network provides a link to the administrative body in the country and helps to overcome language barriers. It also produces information material, maintains a bilingual website, organises lectures and consultation days (where people can meet directly with representatives of the authorities) and keeps people living in the border region informed by sending out a newsletter.

The network was set up as part of an INTERREG project, but is now independent of EU funding. While INFOBEST PAMINA is integrated in the local cross-border cooperation (Eurodistrict PAMINA), the other offices are operating through bilateral and tripartite agreements. The INFOBEST Kehl/Strasbourg and INFOBEST Vogelgrun/Breisach offices are supported by French and German sponsors, while the INFOBEST PALMRAIN office is supported by Swiss funding.
