Obstacle Report

Guide for the platform for reporting obstacles

Welcome to the #ACCESS obstacle reporting platform!

The platform of the #ACCESS project is designed to assist citizens living in the Hungarian-Slovak border region in reporting legal and administrative obstacles they encounter in their daily lives.

How it works:

  • Reporting an obstacle: If you meet a legal or administrative obstacle that affects your ability to live, work, study, travel across the border or carry out any type of cross-border cooperation, please report it here.
  • Analysis and action: Upon receiving your report, our team of legal experts and practitioners will investigate the legal background of the obstacle and explore potential solutions. This process involves reviewing relevant legislation, consulting with authorities, and drawing on our extensive experience in cross-border issues.
  • Feedback: By providing your contact information, you will enable our team to initiate the review process for the obstacle you have reported. Within four weeks, you will receive preliminary feedback acknowledging the receipt of your report and outlining the initial steps we are taking to address the issue. Please note that this initial correspondence may not contain a definitive solution to the obstacle as that possibly takes longer; it will, however, inform you of whether we can take action based on your report. We will inform you if your obstacle is not of a legal nature. Upon the answers of the relevant authorities, our experts will initiate steps to eliminate the recorded obstacle.
  • Long-term advocacy: The obstacles reported through this platform will be systematically collected and compiled into brochures until the end of the project in 2029. These brochures will not only serve as a record of the challenges faced by citizens in the cross-border region but also as a tool for follow-up with decision-makers.

What to include in your report submitted to this platform:

  • Brief but clear description: Offer a clear and concise description of the obstacle you’ve encountered. Include specific locations, dates, and how the issue impacts your cross-border activities.
  • Relevant background information: Where possible, provide any relevant legal or administrative details you’re aware of. This could include laws, regulations, or procedures you believe are related to the issue.
  • Your involvement: Explain how this obstacle affects you personally, whether it’s hindering your work, education, travel, or other aspects of your life in the border region.
  • Your contact information (email address or phone number): To ensure we can provide you with personalised feedback and updates on the obstacle you reported, let us know, please, your contact data.

Thank you for your cooperation and commitment to improving the Hungarian-Slovak border region.
